United Arab Emirates Airspace Advisory

European regulators raised their advice on the United Arab Emirates on 14 July 2026 and narrowed it at the end of August. The avoid now covers the airspace over the waters of the Gulf at every altitude; over the land territory airlines are asked to weigh the risks and plan for them rather than keep away, and arrivals at and departures from airports in the area are expressly excepted. Nothing here is shut — Dubai and Abu Dhabi are two of the busiest connecting airports in the world and both are running normally. Airlines also report their satellite navigation signals being jammed in this area, which is why crews plan for it in advance. A connection here is not cancelled or delayed by the warning; it means the routing passes through airspace the official advice says to stay out of.
