European regulators raised their advice on Qatar on 14 July 2026: airlines should now stay out of the country's airspace altogether, at any height, until at least 31 August 2026. Qatar has not closed anything — the airspace reopened to through-traffic after the summer's fighting, Doha's airport is running normally and many airlines still fly it every day. That gap between the official advice and what is physically happening is the point: a route through here is not disrupted, it is flying through airspace the advice says to stay out of.
