Official notice: EASA CZIB-2018-02R21 ↗ · in force until January 31, 2027

Airlines are told not to fly low over two provinces in the west and north-west of Pakistan, Baluchistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The warning applies below 26,000 feet, so flights above that height are outside it.

European regulators tell airlines not to operate in the airspace over Baluchistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa below 26,000 feet. Armed groups in these provinces have confirmed access to shoulder-fired anti-aircraft missiles, and an aircraft flying low is at risk of being mistaken for a target. The advice stops at that height: flights above it are outside the warning, and so is the rest of Pakistan's airspace.
