Middle East Caution Zone

After the fighting earlier this year, European regulators ask airlines to be careful over Israel, Jordan, Oman and Saudi Arabia. This is a caution, not a no-fly order: airlines still fly these routes every day, and the airspace is fully open. Jordan is covered by a bulletin of its own rather than the shared one for this group; the regulator asks operators to weigh the risks, keep an up-to-date plan in place, and watch how the situation develops — not to stay out of the area. Four countries that used to sit in this group — Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates — were moved out of it on 14 July 2026, when European regulators raised them to a full warning of their own. This caution sits well below the warnings on Iran, Iraq, Lebanon and Syria, which airlines are told to avoid altogether.
