Airlines are told not to fly over Jordan at any altitude. The advice names no exception, so it covers flights into and out of Jordan as well as flights passing over.

European regulators tell airlines not to operate in Jordan's airspace at any height. Missiles and, to a lesser extent, drones have repeatedly been fired at sites in the country, and air-defence systems are switched on when they are. That creates a real risk that a passenger jet is mistaken for a target or hit by falling debris. Jordan's own authorities have published no airspace restrictions, so airlines are told to be ready to follow instructions at short notice. The area shown here is the whole of Jordan's airspace.
